How would you present or describe your club?
On the Rocks is a rock club in a dark, gothic cellar.

When was established your club and who had this idea?
The opening night was 2.8.2001. I had the idea (Tarja Palomäki).

How was choosen the name of the club?
The name was also my idea. On the Rocks sounded good and it tells a lot about the club.

For the persons who don't know well Helsinki, could you explain where it is located?
On the Rocks is located right in the center of Helsinki, next to the railway station. Address is Mikonkatu 15.

Is the location an important thing?
Location is very important.

Do you have a web site?
www.ontherocks.fi

What kind of music do you play?
On the Rocks rock-dj´s play the legendary rock favorites and all the best new sounds.

Is it difficult to find a good Dj?
A good rock Dj is not easy to find. We have the best ones in town.

Do you organize special evenings or happenings?
Live rock music on stage 3-4 times a week, showtime 11 pm.

How would you describe your regular customer?
It´s hard to describe a regular customer. All of them like rock music.

Do you have an age limit?
Age limit is 23. On the Rocks is a place for a little bit "older" people.

What are the specialties of your club (these little things we don't find anywhere else)?
A speciality is for example a fountain in the middle of the club.

Regarding the decoration, did you choose / follow a certain theme or a certain style?
The decoration is made of real rock (gothic style)

Is the decoration of a club important?
Decoration is very important to get the right feeling.

To conclude this interview, are there any projects or happenings in the near future for your club?
We are planning to arrage a Rocksilde Festival in the near future.
