When was established your restaurant and who had this idea?
Restaurant Kuu was established first lf May 1966 by Gunnar Holmström.

How was choosen the name of the restaurant?
Laika dog was flying to the moon. It was veru actual to choose the name Kuu (kuu=moon in english)

For the persons who don't know well Helsinki, could you explain where your restaurant is located?
Very near the Opera house, behing the hotels Radisson Sas Hesperia and Scandic Continental
 
What kind of environment is it?
Very nice neigbourhood.

Is the location of a restaurant an important thing?
Yes it is

How would you present or describe your restaurant?
Very cosy neigbourhoodrestaurant for locals and tourists, reasonable priced/good value for the money

What kind of cuisine do you propose?
Modern Finnish

What are the specialties of your restaurant that you would definitly recommend to our readers?
Finnish salmon soup, blinnies with fish roe in January, Baltic Herring with the new potatoes in June and so on

How often do you change the menu?
Three times a year

What are the next dishes our readers should expect to discover and taste in your restaurant?
Reindeer fillet and season mushrooms

How do you select your chef?
He did choose us

Is it difficult to find good chefs in Finland?
Yes

Regarding the decoration of your restaurant, did you choose / follow a certain theme or a certain style?
We just wanted to make the restaurant cosy and easygoing place

Is the decoration of a restaurant important?
Yes, restaurant should be gleasent place

It is always necessary to discuss a little bit about money... What is the average price that a couple who come to have a classical meal should expect to pay?
Our wines have got many recommendations in press for the most reasonably prices.
Lunchtime with no wine you can do it for o couple minimum 20 euros, dinnertime 40 euros plus wine

To conclude this interview, are there any projects or happenings in the near future for your restaurant?
Our wine tasting lectures once a month on mondays
